Jenesse Center is the oldest domestic violence intervention program in South Central Los Angeles. The Center was founded in 1980 by five African American women who were survivors of domestic violence. Our mission is to provide victims of domestic violence with a comprehensive, centralized base of support to assist them in addressing their immediate crisis and changing the patterns of their lives more...

Thank you for visiting the official website of Jenesse Center, Inc.! We believe the cycle of violence can be broken through a cohesive strategy of education and services and what better way to do so than through the borderless world of the internet. Domestic violence is a problem that impacts everyone’s life and there are numerous opportunities for you to make a difference.

I invite you to combat domestic violence by learning more about domestic violence; learning about the services provided by Jenesse; volunteering; recruiting corporate sponsors for our programs and events; contributing to Jenesse’s wish list; and being peaceful in your own life!
