Felicia D. Henderson to Raise $10,000 for Jenesse Center COVID-19 Relief in the Open Hearts Foundation Matching Campaign.
When you help women discover their power, they use that power to change the world around them.
Through a multitude of programs and services, the Jenesse Center helps women and children create new narratives for their futures.
And for about twenty years, I’ve tried to be a small part of that change, so I’m honored to be asked to chair the Matching Funds Project.
I’m especially grateful to be asked to chair this program right now. In the middle of this global COVID-19 pandemic, it’s incredibly important that we take care of each other.
Those who have been greatly blessed, are called upon to help those who need a blessing now more than ever. In the middle of this unprecedented health crisis, we have to make sure organizations like the Jenesse Center have the increased resources needed to help women and children escape violent circumstances.
Jenesse not only provides 24/7 case management, education, mental health, legal, and children enrichment services to the victims of domestic violence, it turns its clients into survivors. It has changed the conversation around domestic violence. Now, I get to lend my voice in a new way to assist Jenesse with continuing the work of preventing and ending the cycle of domestic abuse and I’m committed to doing everything I can to fundraise and raise awareness.
